Community Manager USA

The community manager is a central element of communication between Owlient and its customers. He works closely with the various departments found inside the company and represents our products inside and outside of the communities. To follow its high growth rate Owlient is currently looking for a community manager for its English speaking communities on howrse.com, babydow.com.

Responsibilities

  • Animate and maintain a friendly environment on the Owlient communities by tending to on-line and off-line events.
  • Prepare and execute the communication in and out from the community and become the link between Owlient and it's users.
  • Analyse, understand and and take part in the global quality of our products.

Requirements

  • Natural leadership skills, objectivity and self control.
  • Previous experience in caring for a community and good knowledge of internet, its tools and practices.
  • Flawless grammar and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and organised manner with multiple teams (Marketing, Product, Tests, Game-Design, Graphics, ...)

Pluses

  • Good knowledge of French or/and eager to improve. (French lessons can be provided by Owlient if needed.)
  • In depth knowledge of American culture and specificities is a major asset for the English community manager position.
  • Good knowledge of Owlient Games

PHP5/MySQL Developer

Mission

After a training period, you will join an experienced and human sized team, working on the development of new games and services, on existing products or on our informations system. You are to intervene on the client side with AJAX as much as on the server side with PHP 5/MySQL on a modern development framework.

Sought-after Profile

With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, you have a solid practical and professional experience (>2 years) in Web development on LAMP stack.

Your ability to learn new languages and/or new tools, your conscientiousness in the quality of your developments and the respect of the plannings will me major assets to work on complex but rich and formative Web based applications

Required experience

  • PHP 5/MySQL development (LAMP architecture)
  • Object oriented programming
  • Development framework (Symfony, Zend framework, …)
  • Database designing
  • Versionning tools

Appreciated bonuses:

  • Notions of Web application security
  • Knowledge about website scalability and performances issues (20M page views per day on average)
  • International experience
  • Good knowledge of French would be a much appreciated asset
